A Few Reminders for the Week of November 27
…and the stress begins. As you slowly start to stack your textbooks, whine over sleepless, study-filled nights, and flip through pages and pages of unorganized lecture notes, take a break with FACT. Here are a few reminders:
- Our 7th General Body Meeting will be this Thursday, December 1st, at 7PM in the Richmond Salons. Wear your pajamas! You’ll be wearing them throughout the bulk of finals week, since you’ll get plenty of sleep in order to concentrate, right?
- We cannot emphasize enough the importance of our fundraisers! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come out to our various fundraising events to help keep FACT alive! Without money, we won’t be able to have the social events, parties, T-shirts, or other fun things that you know us so well for. This is especially important for Culture Night, a huge event that we hold every spring semester. (YouTube it: type in “FACT VCU Culture Night”). You don’t want us to downgrade, do you?
- The End of the Semester dinner is coming up. It’ll be our last hurrah until the holidays! Attend the meeting on Thursday to find out more.
- Go to the Joint Asian Org.’s Annual Semi-formal: Masquerade! Details here. Wear your fancy, decorated, or outlandish eyemasks to celebrate the theme. Advance tickets for couples are only $45, so bring a date if you so desire. (Advance tickets for single attendees are $25.) If you are 21 or older, your entry is only $10, and you can fully utilize the open bar to its extent… hint, hint. Free parking is available, so don’t worry about ruining your glittered heels, ladies. It’ll be Saturday, December 3rd, from 8PM–12AM, at the Crowne Plaza downtown.
- Keep sending in your photos with your siblings! Send them to Rian and Jing at fact.vcu.1112@gmail.com.
- Membership cards, emblazoned with your names, will drip glamorously from your keyrings soon.
- FACT T-shirts are in! This year, they were designed by our DVII Representative, Gabriel Diaz.
And remember, sleep isn’t only for the weak!
